Mrs. Florence Antwiwaah Aboh,  is a Senior Assistant Registrar at the Office of Research, Innovation and Consultancy at the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa where she leads activities of Research, Innovation and Grant Management.  She is also the Coordinator for the UMaT ICAG Study School and Newmont Ghana Apprenticeship Verification and Certification in Minerals, Electrical and Mechanical Programmes.   Overall, she focuses on providing support to the Office in ensuring that research, innovation and grant  processes are run efficiently and effectively to respond to the needs of  university’s researchers, donors and other stakeholders.

She has received training in Professional Project Management and Grants and Research Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Stellenbosch University, South Africa, Aalborg University, Denmark and other reputable research driven higher institutions. She is a member of the West African Research and Innovation Management Association (WARIMA).

Florence has facilitated a number of research administration related workshops for researchers and research administrators at KNUST, UMaT and other private universities.  She is also well versed in setting up research management office to support sponsored research. She has varied experiences in donor relations having worked on various projects for DANIDA, NIH, IDRC, etc.

Prior to working with UMaT, she worked with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and other private institutions.  She holds B.Ed (Secretarial and Management) from University of Education, Winneba and MBA (Strategic Management) from KNUST.
