OFFICE OF RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND CONSULTANCY
The Office of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (ORIC), is the research, innovation and consultancy administration and management office of the University of Mines and Technology. Our mission is to provide effective and efficient research, innovation, consultancy, and enterprise support services that are consistent with world-class universities to staff and students of the University. Over the years, UMaT staff have engaged in cutting-edge research in the fields of mining and technology to tackle mining, environmental, energy, and other socio-economic challenges in the country.
We assist, support and nurture student and staff research and innovations.
ORIC is committed to ensuring that these researches and consultancies are conducted in the most effective and efficient manner by providing the needed support services and by extension protecting the University’s intellectual property and promoting technology transfer with the public and the private sector.
